Interesting take..you may be correct. However, it appears the NC is lost to the Dems whoever they run..and this way they have the spectacle of a weak gov, forced from office, hosting the convention..
I'm not sure why you say this. The dems here in NC have been growing weaker by the day since BHO took office. In 2010 the GOP won BOTH state houses for the first time in more than 100 years. The dems were creamed. The percentage of GOP voters has been increasing while the dems have been slipping. Recent polls show BHO quite weak in NC. NC is in no way lost to the dems.
I just re-read your comment. I may have misunderstood. When you say “lost to the dems”, you might mean that the dems are losing. I took it to mean the opposite — that the NC has been lost to (in favor of) the dems. If I misinterpreted, I’m sorry.
