I think this is a wonderful idea. I wish California had this kind of fund.
I have a daughter with a brain injury that has caused speech problems.
Being in a school envioronment with other kids and lots of speaking opportunities with other people (besides family) is very good for her. The family can understand her when she doesn’t speak clearly, so she can get away with things easily with us.
She is in a great private school, but my husband was recently diagnosed with cancer. I don’t know if we’ll be able to keep on paying for her schooling. Let’s just say, I’m a little stressed these days.
