Security footage of Sen. Rand Paul after he refused a full body pat-down at the Nashville International Airport on Monday does not show the Kentucky Republican acting irate, as the police had described him, according to a report.
n the videos, released by the Metro Airport Authority and posted on The Nashville Tennessean, Paul can be seen standing and sitting in a waiting area as he speaks on his cell phone. The Tennessean reported Thursday that the police incident report describes officers responding to a passenger being irate, but the footage offers no visible evidence of that behavior.
Paul had triggered an alarm during routine airport screening on Monday and refused a targeted pat-down. His spokesperson told POLITICO Paul was being detained indefinitely. The senator later rebooked his flight and went through security without incident.

Yes, but after the video is lost, it will just be his word against theirs.
More government lies.
Senator Paul is lucky he wasn’t tasered to death for having the temerity to stand up to outright thuggery.
Article 1 Section 6.
I would not have blamed Rand Paul if he was irate. If push comes to shove I don’t think the airport security have the authority to detain a sitting US senator or Congressman on their way back or forth to the legislature. TSA knew who he was and they were just trying to jerk him around.
Rand Paul told Hannity last night that when he walked into the SOTU on Tues night Democrat legislators were coming up to him and high fiving him because they are ticked off about the pat downs also and receiving a lot of calls to their offices from constituents. He said they are looking into legislation to put a stop to the pat downs. As usual these rogue agencies never think ahead to the consequences of being ass clowns.
Rand Paul is a true patriot.
I agree. And if we don’t get Obama out this time, I want to see Rand Paul run in 2016.
