Dept. of Transportation (CalTrans) technician responsible for seismic testing to ensure the safety of the new San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge falsified safety tests on other projects -- and construction since he did the testing makes it impossible to verify what he did or did not do for the new San Francisco Bay Bridge.
Keep your fingers crossed if you have to use the new bridge.. actually the bridge is more liked to collapse from Red Chinese made steel or a Muslim terrorist exploding a single little bomb -- some say that the design of the bridge means that a failure anywhere will bring the whole thing down. Sure is purty though.
I believe that the CalTrans technician was reassigned then got arrested for a crime unrelated to CalTrans work and that caused his firing.
