Who cares. The time for Rush to have called "BULLSHEIT" was 30 seconds after his show started YESTERDAY.
But he quoted the articles and then did his best "I know nothing" impression of Sgt Schultz finally saying that the anti-Newt articles did not match his personal memory of Newt.
C'mon folks. Rush took a lot of credit for the Newt's contract with America victory of the House back in 1994 and he knew Newt as well as anyone. You can't tell me that Rush didn't know the anti-Newt stories weren't completely bogus.

Limbaugh is just backpedalling furiously. His Gingrich attacks are not working, nor are Dole’s, Abrams’, McCain’s endorsements etc. Limbaugh has a finely-tuned political ear, and he knows he can only go so far before his audience realizes fully what he is up to, and that would ruin his credibility.
