A candidate for public office in any contemporary democracy may have to consider what, if anything, to do about "global warming." Candidates should understand that the oft-repeated claim that nearly all scientists demand that something dramatic be done to stop global warming is not true. In fact, a large and growing number of distinguished scientists and engineers do not agree that drastic actions on global warming are needed.
In September, Nobel Prize-winning physicist Ivar Giaever, a supporter of President Obama in the last election, publicly resigned from the American Physical Society with a letter that begins: "I did not renew [my membership] because I cannot live with the [APS policy] statement: 'The evidence is incontrovertible: Global warming is occurring. If no mitigating actions are taken, significant disruptions in the Earth's physical and ecological systems, social systems, security and human health are likely to occur. We must reduce emissions of greenhouse gases beginning now.' In the APS it is OK to discuss whether the mass of the proton changes over time and how a multi-universe behaves, but the evidence of global warming is incontrovertible?"
In spite of a multidecade international campaign to enforce the message that increasing amounts of the "pollutant" carbon dioxide will destroy civilization, large numbers of scientists, many very prominent, share the opinions of Dr. Giaever. And the number of scientific "heretics" is growing with each passing year. The reason is a collection of stubborn scientific facts.
Perhaps the most inconvenient fact is the lack of global warming for well over 10 years now. This is known to the warming establishment, as one can see from the 2009 "Climategate" email of climate scientist Kevin Trenberth: "The fact is that we can't account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can't."

One of the Libs favorite quotes is the Eisenhower warning about the “military-industrial complex”. They always seem to forget the NEXT paragraph in the speech, which PERFECTLY explains the issue in global warming climate change “science”.

The AGW crowd are just the latest iteration of the population control elitists and eugenicists.
They believe they’re making progress aborting and contracepting the eurocentric culture into oblivion, but fear the rate of growth of all others.
So, the West must lead the world on a path of deindustrialization, such that the 3rd world believes they’re ahead of the game, without electricity.
This is also the motivation for the destruction of capitalism, liberty, and free enterprise.

I’ve seen other graphs based on the O16-O18 ratio in the skeletons of sea creatures from core drillings of sea floor sediments.
They show the same pattern and go back over a million years.
I'm not a scientist, but I do understand basic mathematics. I also know that if a small percentage difference in the atmosphere in the scale of hundreds of one percent of an otherwise harmless gas could cause catastrophic damage, the Earth and life on it would not have lasted for hundreds of millions years.
I do understand much more about political corruption and the power to corrupt that "government money " can bring to otherwise honest people and professions.
President Eisenhower was very perceptive in recognizing the danger those many years ago. God bless his memory. He was a much better president than most give him credit for. I'd rank him in the top 3 or 4 on retrospect.
I suppose he was the last president who didn't need a full time media spin team working for him. He really did not care what the 'opinion' people at the NY Times or Was Post thought about him. He just did his job as he saw fit to do it. Maybe the last president we will ever have that was not a professional politician and who cared more about the nation than his legacy.
