Florida State Rep. Scott Plakon endorses Rick Santorum
The State Column ^ | 01/27/12 | Staff

Florida State Representative Scott Plakon endorsed Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum Thursday. Mr. Plakon’s endorsement is likely to have little impact on Mr. Santorum’s chances of winning the Florida Republican primary as the Pennsylvania Republican is on track for a third place finish in the Sunshine State.

“Rick Santorum is a man who has consistently shown that he can be trusted to stand by his deeply held conservative principles regardless of the way the political winds blow and will be a steady, even hand in leading America towards prosperity and liberty again,” Mr. Plakon said in a campaign press release.

Mr. Santorum is on his way home this weekend to release his tax returns and prepare for the upcoming caucus elections.

Rick may be all those ‘good things’ but he CANNOT beat Obama. Past time to move over; IMHO; and let the Santorum supporters go for the ‘next’ most conservative candidate. Which of course; he is NOT going to do.

Am guessing too; and unfortunately; that Rubio and even perhaps; Allen West; are holding their power/powder for Mitt; when he needs them most?

Whose the insider? Oh, yes. . .Mitt the outsider; is keeping warm inside.

It is too bad. He should take Governor Perry’s lead and put his country first. That is, unless he was lying last night and does want Romney to get the nomination.

“Florida State Rep. Scott Plakon endorses Rick Santorum”

How utterly gutless and useless of you, Plakon.

This attitude of defeatism is what loses elections.

It’s so refreshing that Santorum does not buy into it.

Why? Is there some reasoning behind your vitriol?

I just now heard a caller say on Hannity’s that Rick Santorum was fabulous last night. A Ron Paul supporter said how good Santorum was in the debate.

On Sunday, caller, after caller, called Bill Cunningham’s show to say how they liked Santorum, and this was before the debates.

If polls have already “placed” candidates, why even bother to have the primary? Just give it to Romney since everyone is saying he is going to win.

Gingrich has screwed himself by acting like a petulant child because he was off his game last night and let Santorum do the heavy lifting. Instead of blaming himself, he is whining that the audience was stacked. Get over it, Newt. It’s gonna get a lot worse.

Santorum is the most conservative of the four remaining candidates. He deserves as much a shot and attention as Gingrich and Romney.

‘“Rick Santorum is a man who has consistently shown that he can be trusted to stand by his deeply held conservative principles regardless of the way the political winds blow ..”’

Yup, and here’s an example:

“..Santorum played a key role in exposing the House Banking Scandal. That scandal cost incumbent Republicans reelection, but Santorum was rock-solid on integrity. Santorum is, in short, just what we want: a conservative who puts principles above power.”

I would like it to be romney.

it will probably be ron paul.

CNBC’s resident WH representative has taken to quoting intrade (well that just about confirms the stock marking is just gambling with insiders and cheats) in boosting romney.

So, with santorum going home and abandoning FL and the next primary, it is just a race between Newt and Mitt.

BTW notic how the media ALWAYS seem to say Romney’s name first which discussing the two.

“Santorum is the most conservative of the four remaining candidates.”

Yes, he is and Rick has all-around outstanding conservative credentials:

“Full-spectrum conservative: While perhaps best-known as a social conservative, Santorum has bona fides in all areas of conservative philosophy — economics, foreign policy, etc. Put simply, he’s versatile. And in a field that will likely have no other senators and correspondingly limited foreign policy experience, Santorum can point to his eight years on the Senate Armed Services committee as proof that he will be prepared to handle an uncertain situation in the Middle East from day one.”

think redistricting.

Allen west wants to be reelected. He has been redistricted. What has the gold to help him.

he with the gold makes the rules. (or is that silver)
