"The very first essential for success," Hitler once said, "is a perpetually constant and regular employment of violence" Didn't work all that well for the little painter did it.
Painter, community rabble-rouser, six of one, half dozen of the other...

Interesting pics. The “Strength through Joy” cruise ship reminds me of something the communists would have come up with.

This is a picture of my Father taken at the monument in Tiergarten Park, supposedly of the first Russian tank to enter Berlin. I also have several pictures of the monument being built. Now here is the odd thing. the tank is a Stalin tank and a few days after this picture was taken, the monument was blown up during the night. If one looks up Russian monument in Tiergarten Park, you will find a different monument with two 34 tanks and they are described as the first Russian Tanks into Berlin. The current monument was constructed in 1945 same as this earlier one.

Adolf Hitler speaks in Munich on the 15th anniversary of the 1923 Beer Hall Putsch, in which Hitler and other Nazi party members attempted to overthrow the German government on November 8th, 1938 Choosing your new country: Rules of Thumb for immigrants: Do not emigrate to a country which can be overthrown by a bunch of yahoos who simply act stupid in a beer hall. In sane countries that's just called partying.

..."but they were more interested in a bottle of cognac... Putting myself in the same situation and given a choice of photos of Adolph Hitler or a bottle of cognac, that would have been an easy choice.

Sentries guard the entrance to Adolf Hitler's office in the Chancellery. Hitler was obsessed with oversized architecture and overly grand monuments that would awe and humble any visitor Zero asked if they could install one of these in the entrance to the Oval Office.
(Were the cameras that bad in those days? This is a professional photograph taken by a professional photographer.)
None of the photos I saw at the link showed the private life of Hitler, as the headline claimed. Every photo I saw was from a public event. What’s the big deal?

This is from the Potsdam conference where Truman gave up all of Eastern Europe. My Father's outfit got passes to attend the conference. They were already bivouacked off the Pottsdamer Strasse.
