Parents in School District Push Back on Planned Parenthood
WNYT, Albany New York ^ | 1/10/2012 | Jessica Layton

CLIFTON PARK - The year 2012 starts with a renewed firestorm over an old controversy -- sex education -- at Shenendehowa schools.

The district pulled Planned Parenthood experts from its health curriculum after 20 years.

But the group of parents that wanted Planned Parenthood out is now asking the district to go a step further by implementing Sexual Risk Avoidance Education. This type of program, advocates say, would include state-mandated information on AIDS, sexually transmitted infections and contraception, while encouraging abstinence.

Impressive. Parents in this upstate New York School district successfully pushed Planned Parenthood out of their schools after 20 years of their kids getting brainwashed.

Excellent news and much needed. What parent worries that their children won’t have “good” sex?

Parents, good parents, want their kids to marry and raise successful families. Where’s the government school class that teachers marriage and family relations?

I find it shocking that many teachers who are supportive of this nonsense (though not as wholeheartedly as their union) can’t see the impact of it as their classes get smaller and more “foreign”; it bit them in the rear in some districts where “American” teachers can’t be hired because they don’t speak Spanish.

Yes, and Planned Parenthood’s heavy presence over the years in this community is precisely why my sister who lives in this school district home-schooled all 4 of her children.

Here in NJ, while the homeschooling laws I’m told are permissive in comparison to other states, the cost of living makes it very difficult to get by on one income. We have one and a half, and it even tough like that. That is a big reason why we’ve turned into a state of tenants (bith people and companies); those locked into any kind of land ownership are raped by their municipalities.

> precisely why my sister who lives in this school district

When it comes to school, there’s no place like home.

We home-school all 9 of ours (see tagline).

It’s a perversion of justice that we are compelled by threat of lethal force to pay for the marxist school collective, which we cannot and will not use.

We will not use it, because the very concept of “public education” is better understood when discovering its roots as the marxist “school collective”. It is compulsory. Your children MUST attend, and you MUST pay for it, whether or not you have children, whether or not you agree with what is being taught there.

By God’s grace, an Amishman in Ohio took his homeschool case to the US Supreme Court and won in 1983. In the meantime, he and his wife were JAILED, and their children were hiding with relatives in another state.

But while we are no longer required to participate in the government school collective, we are still compelled to PAY for it.

Thomas Jefferson wrote, “To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.”

Separation of church and state goes BOTH ways. You don’t have to have my church in your school collective, but your bloody school collective cannot have its clutches on my children or in my pockets!

All parents of good conscience should make the sacrifices necessary to either

1. homeschool their children,
2. put them in church or synagogue or private schools,
3. or form their own school cooperatives with like minded friends, neighbors and family.

It won’t matter, the schools will just do it anyway. “Don’t tell your parents” is a way of life for the perverts now adays.

fantastic news! We can’t win back the country if we can’t even win back our own children, for if we win today, it will just be undone when the publicly educated children become adults.

Fighting against evil, one community or neighborhood at a time. Opting out is not at all a solution - kids will still be influenced by the other kids who don't opt out, the kids whose parents don't opt them out are infected and will infect others. Parents who want PP pervert/abortion info in the schools say this:

Meanwhile, other parents who want Planned Parenthood back in their childrens' classrooms are telling the Shen Parents Choice Coalition to get with the times.

Social evolution - being "modern" means more perverted and immoral - "since we're heading in that direction, it must be good, since it's going in the future direction [as though "the future" is a fixed destination that we cannot change], so let's put pedal to the metal". A serious form of psychopathy.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Children should not be used as front line soldiers in a cultural war. The responsibility of the parent is to remove their child from this filth.

Even if Planned Parenthood is kicked out of the schools ( it took 1 and 1/2 generations of students for this community to do it) the godless Marxists running the schools will find some alternative equally immoral and perverted to replace it. Also, these children are still subjected to NON-STOP godlessness every minute of every school day. **Everything** they hear, see, and learn is filtered through the godless worldview of secular humanism.

Personally, I see removing Planned Parenthood from this school as being as effective as fighting a raging godless forest fire with a water pistol. Wow! Great! /s.

Next,....What to do about godless, socialist-entitlement, Marxist dominated government schooling? The best strategy is to do everything possible to see that it is shut down permanently! How?

Government schools need two things: Students and money. Starve them of both.

Removing your own children is a very effective way to starve the school of both money and students. Encourage other parents to do the same. Encourage conservatives to be philanthropic with regard to private vouchers. Organize with other parents to encourage vouchers, charters, and tax credits. While vouchers, charters, and tax credits can build the private infrastructure needed, the goal should be complete separation of school and state.

Personally, I see godless government schooling as soooooo evil, and such a threat to our nation's freedom, that I will no longer have a government teacher for a friend. I am done with them.

Every government owned and run school in this nation **establishes** the religion of godless secular humanism, and forces it on children, and makes the citizen pay for it!

Government owned and run schools are a First Amendment and freedom of conscience abomination!

I have been hammered here on Free Republic for using the word “every”. So?.... If anyone knows of a government owned and run K-12 socialist-entitlement school that is NOT godless its worldview, please send a link. I will be quick to apologize.

The patient has a fever of 108 and it has dropped to 107.99.

Fundamentally, government owned and run socialist-entitlement schools are a First Amendment and freedom of conscience abomination! They are **godless** in their worldview. Simply by attending the child will think and reason godlessly just to cooperate in the classroom.

It is **evil** to force a child to think and reason godlessly.
It is **evil** to force citizens to pay for it!

Personally, I consider government socialist-entitlement schooling to be soooooo **evil** that I will not have a government teacher for a friend.

Exactly!

The union-run, government school collective is the bus ministry of the state church of atheistic marxist humanism.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Hm?....Let's imagine that the air and water in **all**government socialist-entitlement schools in this nation were poisoned.

Let's imagine that it is possible remove your child from his poisonous school but the cost of living in New Jersey makes it so expensive that one parent can not stay home with the child. What would you do if you knew that the water your child drank and the air he breathed in his government school would kill, or permanently damage your child's brain and/or body?

What would you do? Let your child stay there and be sick and permanently injured? Hopefully.....You would do one of two things:

1) Make the sacrifices needed to allow one parent to stay home to create an environment were your child could have clean air and water and grow up with a healthy brain and body.

2) Find work in another part of the country where the cost of living would allow one parent to stay home.

Please remember that **all** government owned and run schools in this nation are godless in their worldview. Simply by attending the child must think and reason godlessly just to cooperate in the classroom.

Please remember that **all** government owned and run schools in this nation are socialist! They are the very definition of a socialist entitlement. Simply by attending children risk learning that government has great power to give them tuition-free schooling. Well?...Gee! If the voting mob and government can give them tuition-free schooling why not use that power to get **lots** of free stuff from their neighbor's pocket?

Personally, I see government schooling as so **evil**, so hurtful to children, and such a threat to our nation's freedom that I will not have a government teacher for a friend. I am **done** with them!

And...If any one has a link to an exception, please post it. I will quickly apologize for using the words, “all”, and “every”.

I don’t have any school teacher friends either, well wait a second, I’m trying to think if I have any friends.

I’m Canadian, I’m anti-socialist, I’m anti public healthcare, I’m against government run schools, I’m against social assistance and welfare, and unemployment insurance, and I believe in God. I also defend the US and the constitution to anyone who talks down on it.

Yes, that confirms it, I have no friends heh.

I have a simple suggestion. Contact a local homeschooling group. You can find one at the Homeschool Legal Defense Association website. There are likely **many**many**many** homeschooling families who are **thriving** on a lot less money than you and your wife are making. They will be delighted to help you figure out a way to rescue your children from the godless, Marxist, indoctrination camps.

This is a personal decision:

I consider it soooooo **evil** to force children to think and reason godlessly that I will no longer be friends with those who implement it, cooperate with it, establish it, and willing seek a job with it.

I consider godless government schooling soooooo hurtful to children and such a threat to our nation's continuing freedom that I will no longer be friends with government teachers who **willingly** make it all possible. No one is holding a gun to their heads. They **willingly** applied for this job.
