Romney is about as much of a “Mexican” as my goldfish - and I don’t even have one. That was gross pandering.

Great-grampa Romney fled from Utah to Mexico with his wives when the polygamy was outlawed (a requirement for Utah to become a state) and lived in an Anglo Mormon cult community there. His son (Willard’s grandfather) came back to the US with Willard’s father, who was a small child.

Calling himself the child of “Mexican immigrants” was not only pandering, it was ridiculous. I hope the real Mexican immigrants throw tomatillos (really hard ones) at him the next time the see him.

You need to read my post again - Jorge W Romney, one of the wettest RINO Rockefeller pubbies ever, ran for the Republican nomination in 1968. He is the late father of The Willard. He was born IN MEXICO to Mormons who were then living in a Mormon colony in Chihuahua state. The fact that Jorge's parents returned to Utah five years after he was born is beside the point of his place of birth. Serious questions concerning his elegibility for the office of President under the NBC requirement were raised and never resolved during the primaries of 1968. In this golden time of Algore's internet, you have no excuse for being so abysmally uninformed. Try, try very hard to see the distinction between the elements of the constitutional NBC requirement and the several modes of statutory citizenship. Good luck to you and vote for Newt, will you please.
