I hope that Rick Santorum polls strongly enough to emerge as a conservative alternative to Mitt Romney if Newt Gingrich falters.

In other news...We now have incontrovertable proof that Osama Bin Laden and Moamar Gadafi are dead... They both have just recently regestered to vote in Chicago.

Oh, I wish it were so! My wife and I voted early for Newt. In all my 40+ years of voting in Presidential primaries and general elections, I have absolutely NEVER seen the level of personal attack ads that the OBAMA-LITE supporters have been broadcasting.

I have a personal rule: whenever I see these negative personal attacks, it means that those doing the attacking can't win on the issues, so they try to win on something else. And if that's the case, since my vote is based on the issues, I will vote against those who start these types of contests. I don't blame Newt for responding to those types of ads with similar ones, but his are tame compared with ROMNEY's. It's the only way he can defend himself since that's what the American Idol electorate responds to. And that's pretty damned unfortunate!

I just voted in St. Augustine, FL.

All the signs outside the polling place were Romney signs-—not a Newt sign in evidence.

But I talked up Newt (in a fun way) as I went through the process and those that responded seemed to be Newt supporters, too...for what it’s worth...

Please, Newt, pull it off!
