The U.S. Department of Commerce hinted on Monday that American solar panel manufacturers might prevail in their case against subsidized Chinese imports.
Led by SolarWorld of Hillsboro, a group of U.S. solar panel manufacturers have asked the federal government to add a 50 to 250 percent tariff to imported solar panels from China to make up for 30 Chinese government subsidy programs that artificially reduce the panel prices Chinese manufacturers can offer.
Chinese-made solar panels already represent half the American market, according to this story in the New York Times.

I guess the answer is, since that was just straight-up graft, and there was no intent to actually to produce solar panels, you can’t really call it subsidized production.

Hey, hey this is two for one. We got screwed with this communist filth in the WH taking our money and giving it to those who gave campaign contribution and now we get screwed a second time if they impose a tariff on the unscrupulous Chinese and the price of Green goes even higher.
How did half of this country become so stupid as to support this hater of American and continue to support him? He not only needs to be removed from office but his name must be damned and ridiculed for the rest of recorded history.
Let’s see, my solar panels are made by Kyocera, a Japanese company. According to the label they were assembled in Mexico. I’ll bet the active part of the panel was made in China.
