“EVERYONE of us have broken the ten commandments. Seems to me some, even on FR, need to check their hearts and renew their relationship with Jesus Christ.”

So basically, it doesn’t matter what commandments a person breaks or how often? The only important thing is your relationship with Jesus? Do you really think that all Evangelicals believe likewise? Like I said, I don’t know, but I think that some Evangelicals believe it is important that our national leader follow the lessons taught to their children in Sunday school. Or maybe just the thought of the married Newt having a sexual relationship with his young aide while he was condemening Clinton for the same sort of behavior didn’t sit well.

Like I said, I don’t know why every single Evangelical didn’t vote for Newt, but I can see some possibilities.

Newt was silent about Clinton's sexual behavior. His criticism of Clinton was limited to his leftist policies. He knew that he couldn't cast that stone.

“condemening Clinton for the same sort of behavior didn’t sit well.”

Here is the difference between Newt Gingrich and Clinton as far as the perspective from a true believer’s point of view. Or better stated as a true believer should view.

Clinton never repented of his sin. He pointed his finger thru the TV and Stated “I didn’t....” He lied about it to the Grand Jury.
So a True believer has to say this man was not repentant of his sin. If at some point he DOES repent it is our obligation as followers of Christ to accept and leave Judgement to God. We are to see Clinton as forgiven as WE have been forgiven.

Now as for Newt Gingrich, He has confessed and repented of his sin and so our obligation once again is to accept and forgive as WE have been forgiven.

This really is the VERY HEART of the Christian Faith as to what JESUS CHRIST has done for us and Shows the intent of the believer if he or she does or does not follow what Jesus laid out for us.

For anyone of us to scoff at a brother or sister in Christ, denouncing his Faith or attacking his past sinful life is showing to the world a different picture of what Jesus Christ has done.

We as believers should be very careful how we treat each other because it reflects on how non-believers see our Faith.
