Only a few pockets of resistance.

Although I know I’m in a minority-—and not a Romney lover-—I do think there is a key difference between Mitt and McCain, namely McCain didn’t want to win, and didn’t expect to win. I think Romney is vicious and ruthless enough that he will do whatever it takes to win. While he personally may shy away from calling Obama names, I think he’ll have the biggest slime machine you’ve seen in a while. We’ll see.

“Obama starts off with over 200 electoral votes in the bag where he doesn’t have to spend a dime: CA, NY, WA, WI, ME, DE, CT, IL, MA, NJ, are in the bag so to speak.”

LOL! Aren’t you the guy who predicted that Newt would lose South Carolina?

Maybe with such a landslide they can put the Dims back to red and the Republicans back to blue like they used to be.

Historically, the party that held the White House was blue, the opposition, red. Hence, in 2000 the Douchebags Dhimmis were red because Klintoon was the POTUS (Philanderer of the United States). This should have changed in 2004, stayed with the Pubies blue in 2008 and in 2012 should have the Dhimmis blue again.

Don't hold your breath waiting for the Pubies to be blue in '16, assuming that Odumbo gets his arse tossed out later this year. The dinosaur media is too busy carrying water for the Dhimmis to ever again have their candidate red.

I’d say any reasonable person would say “Baraq is a lock” in the states he mentioned.

It will be fought in Ohio, Penn, and Fl.

You make a good point. However, when matched against Gingrich, Obama romps home in all those “purple” states you mentioned. I cannot see a way how Gingrich can reduce the 20-point deficit he has with female voters and as you can see he has a steep and uphill climb in trying to clinch the nomination.

Made no predictions on S, Carolina. But rather than the typical LOL comment, its informative when you engage in data analysis.

Liberals see Red as short for “Redneck”, which is why it will stay with the GOP.

I doubt that. We focus on the shortcuts of Romney, but the shortcomings of Obama have alienated about 55% of the American population, according to my reading of the situation. Getting Obama out must be our first goal. We can always elect enough Tea Party supporters to check Romney's weaknesses.

Obama starts off with over 200 electoral votes in the bag where he doesn’t have to spend a dime: CA, NY, WA, WI, ME, DE, CT, IL, MA, NJ, are in the bag so to speak.

Even assuming that you're correct, there are a bunch of states that are "in the bag" for a Republican. I'm not going to go through them - that's not the point (though most western and southern states fit that bill). The point is that the battle to be elected in November won't be fought in those states, it'll be fought in those states that aren't "in the bag" for either party. This wouldn't be so easy for Obama if he was facing McCain-Palin again, given that he's been such an abject failure (and lazy and arrogant, to boot). States that were narrowly Obama's last time will have a much greater chance of going Republican, and he'll have to spend money in a lot of places that he wouldn't normally need to, assuming just a slightly below-average term in office.

Whether or not McCain wanted to win, he stacked the odds against himself by choosing Federal campaign financing (along with its spending limits, because he thought it was the honorable thing to do), thereby ensuring that he would be outspent 3 to 1 by Obama. Romney will presumably not cripple his campaign in this way.

I don’t know. I don’t think you can say that. Slime machines work pretty well, even without media support. Can you say Swiftboats?

***The Republican party is just outright stupid , had four freaking years to find a good candidate and look what they have came up with***

There is no draft - just volunteers. Of course, once Romney put himself out there 10 years ago - with money money money - he became the establishment choice. Newt and the others saw a challenge and plunged in. I would love to hear from Newt what motivated him to take up his sword. IMHO Romney just wants to be POTUS to follow his daddy. Much like Al Gore and George W. Bush and the ubiquitous Kennedys.

The GOP has no interest in the public’s wishes - if they did they would solicit names of potential candidates from their donor lists. Just a quick questionnaire -4 years before the primaries - taking the pulse of the electorate and following up with the choices. American Idol has better solutions than the GOP.

Romney will spend money like a drunken sailor to win. Let’s hope he can restrain himself if he does win.

Probably fails to take in the effect of all Government workers, all Union workers, all those below the poverty line (including all those that make less than 75,000), and those idiots just want Government to provide more money and services.

When Government provides minimal requirements that we need, who do you vote for?

We are lost!
