Climate change sceptics have acquired a new explanation for why glaciers are retreating: it's not global warming, it's theft.
Police in Chile have arrested a man on suspicion of stealing five tonnes of ice from the Jorge Montt glacier in the Patagonia region to sell as designer ice cubes in bars and restaurants.

A guy collects ground water and its “stealing”
Libs are not aware that Ice is frozen water.
Its the Kings ice. Who the hell do you think you are??
Is this a joke?
Well if everyone took ice from the glaciers then Patagonia wouldn’t be nearly as...
Chile.
Its about ethics: if everyone took a 5 tonne chunk of glacier, then how soon would the glacier disappear? ( was that a comma splice? )....
Who the hell do you think you are, if you think it belongs to you?
Yes, but if everybody took the period off the end of a sentence...we’d have one hell of a long run-on sentence.
Everybody is not going to chip at the glacier.
Sounds as silly as, “If everyone drank fresh water, what will happen to all the water?” It’s WATER, ON PUBLIC LAND.
If people are stupid enough to pay extra for glacier ice...why can’t someone take their money from them?
To my mind, this is asinine environmental-religion. But I repeat myself.
OK, a vote. Does Chandler deserve death by zotting for that one? Huh?
I’m heading west, to cut me down some of them sequoias. /s
Somehow that would be OK, but this is not?
Of course there is the case where private companies have come into foreign countries, monopolized the water supply, and then started charging the peasants for water they used to get for free. In at least one case, they even made it a crime to collect rain water.
They couldn't tolerate any competition, even from Mother Nature!
Hell no, we are just dangling participles.....
Hey, I know guy that swiped a 20 lb sack of ice from the cooler in front of Pats gas station and she chased his *** with a 44 magnum!
Stealing icebergs is legal in Chile.
No, it is not a comma splice.
No, it is not a comma splice.
