The pressure on the Susan G. Komen For The Cure Foundation to reverse its decision to cut funding to Planned Parenthood for breast cancer screenings for poor people — a decision which has caused an uproar among women’s groups and on social media — is about to get significantly more intense. Nearly two dozen Senators are set to enter the fray.
I’m told that 22 Dem Senators have signed on to a toughly worded letter urging Komen to reverse its decision, which Komen has justified by citing a new rule prohibiting it from funding any group under investigation by the government. (This has conferred legitimacy and signficance on the probe into Planned Parenthood that has been launched by anti-abortion GOP Rep. Cliff Stearns of Florida.)

ADDITIONALLY: a tweet I caught within the past hour from this linked source indicates that the "Top public health official" with Komen-for-the-Cure has resigned over this building controversy.
California Democrat abortion nazis are also voicing their displeasure. This is most probably not over.
Does Planned Parenthood actually coduct mammograms or do they do manual test for lumps? Susam G. Komen only deals with breast cancer, right?
Please. PP doesn’t even do the screenings, from what I’ve read, they just send the women someplace else. Plus, those donations were fungible to be used for whatever they wanted. And it’s obvious what they spend most of the money on and it’s not preventative care.

You have to keep in mind the motivation behind most pro-aborts. It’s that they viscerally KNOW it’s murder of the most innocent, and don’t want any reminders from anywhere that there might be a moral component to abortion. Any indication that there might be something less than moral about abortion, including not fully publicly funding it, leads inexorably to the conclusion that they advocate the murder of innocents in the name of convenience.

If the Komen organization turns and runs on this issue they are done-for as an organization. The cat is out of the bag, and the only way for them to continue is to hold firm and stick to their mission’s stated purpose.

Not so fast. Komen hasn’t said they are permanently halting the funding just that they won’t provide said funding while Planned Parenthood is under investigation. Wait and see what happens once the investigation is concluded.

We have a completely out of control federal government, for one thing. it is NOT the business of the federal government to concern itself with this! If the Komen Foundation wants to shed its connection with the slaughter of the unborn, what right does the US Senate have to interfere???? STRIP the fedgov of its unconstitutional involvement and that alone will solve many problems - much bitter poisonsous fruit will quickly wither and die without fedgove involvement and money!

Reading that I would come to the conclusion that Planned Parenthood doesn’t actually do the screenings but rather refer you to someone who will. In other words, breast cancer screenings were never high on their list of things to do."

And PP just bought their NYC headquarters they’d been leasing for decades for $35,000,000.....which is a drop in the bucket from their stash of $1,000,000,000. Non-profit my a$$!
Their president (Cecile Richardson, Anne’s daughter) makes $400,000/year and gets an NYC apartment. If they wanted to, they could buy their own mammogram machines and put one in every state, and still have beaucoup bucks left over.
So it’s obviously not important enough of an issue to force them to use their OWN money to help prevent breast cancer in the women they profess to care so deeply about.

There's no way they deserve any kind of support now for just doing the right thing by cutting off Planned Parenthood.

It was thought for a while that there was link, but the final study concluded no link. Not even an elevated number.
Link between abortions and increase chance of breast cancer could explain why they want to break off association. If proven,law suits could follow.
I guess that no one at SGK has read the research showing a significant correlation between having an abortion and subsequently developing breast cancer. That, alone, should justify the denial of any funding for PP by SGK.
How about Great Leader just issue an edict from on high demaning the Komen organization provide on-demand abortion and give half of all their proceeds to Planned Parenthood? That would solve the problem, right? I mean, it’s not like the Federal Government has limits on private individuals or organizations or anything. Golly people - get with the pogrom.
So contra-intuitive. Groups that have high levels of abortion literally decrease their percentage of the population, breeding themselves out of existence. Natural selection’s a bitch.
