For what it's worth, former Tea Party Senate candidate Sharron Angle today endorsed Rick Santorum for president:
Angle, a tea party favorite who failed in her 2010 bid to unseat Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, praised Santorum’s character in a statement released Thursday by his campaign.
“He is a strong fiscal and social conservative who stands on principles above politics,” Angle said in the release. “His continuous opposition to Amnesty, Obamacare, the bail-outs, and cap and trade are a perfect fit with our main street Tea Party movement.”
Santorum said her backing will be a “terrific boon to our campaign as the Nevada Caucus approaches.”
Angle’s words in praise of Santorum ring true — and echo the reasons Michelle Malkin cited for her support of the former Pennsylvania senator. But it’s questionable as to whether Angle’s endorsement really will be a “boon” to Santorum’s effort in the Silver State.
Remember: This is a former candidate whose horribly mismanaged campaign and subsequent loss to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid led to a severe case of GOP buyer’s remorse. This is a former candidate who toyed with the idea of running for president herself and whose rumored bid for the House of Representatives made GOPers nervous.
Then again, most endorsements strike me this way: They always carry the risk that they will turn off voters who aren’t fans of the endorser. That’s as true of a Donald Trump or Sarah Palin endorsement as a Sharron Angle endorsement. The biggest takeaway of Angle’s announcement of support for Santorum is that he’s actively campaigning in states he thinks could yield delegates for him — and, unlike Angle, his approach is very disciplined. He hasn’t descended into senseless attacks of his competitors and he’s continually stuck to the issues. If and when he takes off, the voters who’ve supported him in an early state will be able to depend on him not to implode in the very next state or the general.
It’s a good thing.
Michelle Malkin endorsed Santorum too?

Sharon Angle and Michelle Malkin are patriots! I am so proud that they are using their principles on a great conservative like Rick Santorum. I would love for the public schools begin with the Lord’s Prayer every morning. Rick will abolish all abortions in the United States. Rick will ensure that birth control is banned. Rick is as close to a Saint as there is. I would put him second to Jesus Christ. What a wonderful person with so much integrity and morals. It sure does kill some people to see a man married to his wife for 24 years with 7 great children. What a blessing that God bestowed Rick Santorum on us! God Bless Rick Santorum, his family and the United States of America! Rick is the only one with integrity.
Has he actually proposed that?
if so, where in the Constitution is that power given to the federal government?
I can’t wait for this! The second thing this Friday morning (tommorrow 2/3/12) Milwaukee WTMJ’s am 620 morning GOP eliteist talkie host Charlie Sykes will be crabbing about is Angle’s endorsement of Santorum.
Sykes a die hard Romnellian,on the day before Politico reported on Herman Cain’s 1st reported indescression began ripping Cain and for the remaining three weeks spending at least a few minutes in every segment of his 8:30 till noon week day talkie bashing Cain until Cain pulled out.
Once Newt made the grade Newt was in Sykes crosshairs very likely while also praising huckster Trump Sykes will be bashing Angle and Newt.
Where Sykes really gets into gear is on Angle whom he blames both Angle and O’Donnell with their positions on abortion for losing the senate in 2010.
The president is not the one to make decisions about abortion or birth control.
Bump! For a good, decent man. He would politically and debate-wise clean Obongo’s clock. Straight up. It would be “game on!”
He wants birth control BANNED. He will never ever win with that. Are you sure that is what he said??
