The so-called “rich” are paying exactly what the tax laws allow. If their net taxes are lower than 30% then it is because they have approved deductions and expenses. Deductions and expenses put into law by our legislative process. This process has created a monumentally complex and contradictory mass of laws and regulations, all to ensure that we pay our “fair” share.
To somehow claim that the “rich” are not paying enough because it is not “fair” is ignorant. So we have ignorant Democrats wanting to increase taxes to make sure the rich are paying their “fair” share, when the rich are already, by tax law, paying their “fair” share. It is too challenging for the Democrats to look into the tax code and see where the “loopholes” exist so they can close them by due process. The “fair share” is a moving target.
As a result taxpayers are denied the ability to spend the money they earned on causes they approve and support. Instead the politicians use the money taken from them to enrich themselves, their friends, and to buy votes.
