A recent study study from Brock University in Ontario suggests that IQ and the way our brains our formed affects whether someone is conservative or liberal.
The Huffington Post reports that the study, published in Psychological Science, showed that people who score low on I.Q. tests in childhood are more likely to develop prejudiced beliefs and socially conservative politics in adulthood. I.Q. is a score determined by standardized tests, but whether the tests truly reveal intelligence remains a topic for debate among psychologists.
Theories include that people of low intelligence gravitate toward socially conservative ideologies, which stress resistance to change and, in turn, prejudice. Less intelligent people are possibly drawn to conservative ideologies because such beliefs feature "structure and order," which make it easier to comprehend a complicated world.
Many of these features can also lead to prejudice, one experts says. Dr. Brian Nosek, a University of Virginia psychologist, reached out to The Huffington Post and stated the following: "Reality is complicated and messy, he wrote in an email. "Ideologies get rid of the messiness and impose a simpler solution. So, it may not be surprising that people with less cognitive capacity will be attracted to simplifying ideologies." Interesting. The one thing that is certain is that this study probably has quite a few people upset! Don't take it to heart, no one said this was written in stone but the explanation does make sense.
So that explains why all the communist uprisings were accomplished by peasants.

What sort of correlations did they find between low IQ folks on government assistance and various prejudices? Ahhh, you mean they didn’t study such a group?

'series', I think it was in 5th grade when I took a peek at something teacher had on her desk, the IQ scores of all the kids (it was treated like Top Secret info). From then on I knew why they were always busting my gonads to 'do better' (but I was so BORED), and it continued through HS. The Asst Principal, Mr Burke, was like my shadow for 4 yrs.

Either conservatives are the greedy rich who refuse to part with their wealth, or they are morons.
They cannot be both.
If conservatives are morons they cannot possibly be smart enough to create wealth, therefore the evil rich witholding the riches the government wants to spend must be liberals.
If the evil rich are really conservatives, they cannnot possibly be morons. Not only are they smart enough to create great wealth, they are smart enough to keep it out of the hands of the Democrats.
Thomas Sowell has said something to the effect that intelligence doesn’t matter if you don’t think.
I remember I had an IQ over 180 when I was in parochial school. I could do math and algebra in my head, but had a hard time putting the work on paper.
It’s hard to not fall to the level of stupidity of the researchers in responding to their statements.
Low IQ tends to lead to legalism and group dependency. It’s not conservative or liberal. It’s the legalistic nature of a low IQ that causes them to see things as black or white as their consciousness development is not at a level that has the speed of processing or the capacity to hold opposing ideas and process them.
People with a low IQ generally do not hold freedom with a high value as they function on the level of gangs with a high affinity toward group dependency. Ever notice how university freshman go to the dining hall in groups of 30 to 40. By the time they are seniors they have developed enough to go as individuals or in pairs.
This is the reason that the military is having a much harder time with soldiers obeying orders as the more mature educated soldier of today has an individual self identity who needs to ratify or reject orders while in the past, basic training was designed to remove that sense of self and drive the young men back into dependency where they would follow orders blindly.
What I have just described is also the reason why the PTSD is so high in our current forces as the soldiers are feeling individually responsible for their actions rather than shrugging it off as just following orders.
This article makes perfect sense; it’s surprising more reports of this type have not already been published. Observation of the popular culture will reveal that the modern definition of intelligence in the media has actually morphed into acceptance of homosexuality. It’s become psychological blackmail: either profess your tolerance or embrace of this perversion or be called stupid.
