The Aldi customer who shot an armed robber in the store Monday says prosecutors told him after an interview late Thursday he won't face criminal charges.
The man, who would only identify himself as Nazir in an email, has also started a web site, ccwadvocates.com. It reads in part:
Learn from Real People like you and me, normal Ordinary Citizens that have awaken the spirit of personal responsibility and freedom that this country was founded upon!
Sign up to hear exclusively from the Man that stopped an Armed Robbery at a Milwaukee Aldi store. Many have called him a hero, we like to call him our brother!
Nazir told WISN-TV, Channel 12, that he was with his wife in the store when the robber, armed with a shotgun came in and was threatening the cashier. He said he nodded to another person who was in his line of sight to get out the way, then fired his gun at the robber, who fled and was later arrested along with a co-defendant. The shotgun wielding suspect was hit in the leg, Nazir told WISN.
Though the Aldi store at N. 76th St. and W. Villard Ave. had a sign banning weapons, Nazir told WISN he did not notice it when he entered the store with his concealed gun.
He said he had only had his Wisconsin concealed carry permit about two weeks. The Michigan company whose firearm and CCW training course he took in November was already touting the case on its website Thursday night.

Good shooting, Citizen. Civilization thanks you.
nice....but....how do you shoot your target in the leg?
Especially one holding a shotgun?
Practice “point shooting”!!
You can do this with an empty weapon.
Pick a target
Briskly bring your weapon into position.
Check sight alignment and adjust.
Continue until your muscle memory leaves little or no adjustment to have center mass in your sights.
You won’t use your sights in an emergency
Waiting for a jumpy red laser to settle on target can cause deadly delays.
I was going to suggest carrying a CIWS for close in events requiring a weapon system - because a shotgun is no match for it - but your answer might be more practical.
I suspect that when people point shoot as you advise, they *are* using their sights, it has just become so automatic that they do not even notice.
Thanks for contributing.
—a good one I had missed—been on vacation and missed a few articles—as far as I got through the comments looks like we were ahead there, too—
Whenever I pass by a “No Guns Allowed” sign, I miss it completely. Just not too visible.
On the other hand, I do know that as a CCW holder in CT, I am not allowed to let anyone know that I carry. This is the point of “Concealment”. So no one ever is the smarter, I guess.
Wow, a decent Muslim. I will give him credit, though!
