I’ve been to the MFA’s Egytian collection a couple of times, but the Brooklyn Museum has one of the best Egyptology collections in the country, it was sort of their speciality. The Metropolitian Museum got a whole bunch of stuff on loan from the Egyptian Government and expanded into Central Park to exhibit it, though I’ve never been there.
I’ve long wanted to visit Egypt, but when the Muslim Brotherhood killed a bunch of Western tourists about 20 years ago, I scratched it off my bucket list.
Ah! great suggestion. I shall have to Visit Brooklyn some day. I am sure it is safer and even CLEANER than Egypt!
I have ridden the South Bronx Expressway at night, alone on a Harley. And I am willing to bet even THAT was safer than Egypt!
I have no desire to visit any muslim country. Which means I might have to move out of Broward County.

Ditto. Always wanted to scramble to the top of the Great Pyramid, climb inside to the sarcophagus; see the Cairo Museum, the Valley of the Kings, etc.
Now...
However, not only would I NOT go now, I would have to advise against such a trip. Sad, but true.
