PRINCETON, NJ -- Mississippi remains the most conservative state in the union, and, along with Utah, Wyoming, and Alabama, is one of four states with 50% or more of its population identifying as conservative. At the other end of the ideological spectrum, 40% District of Columbia residents and 30% of Massachusetts residents identify as liberal; all other states have a liberal population of 26% or less.

So, why can't the GOP's first primary be held here?

Have you caught the subtlety in the title?
D.C. isn't a State.

Also - in DC, the term “liberal” in reality means “Radical Progressive / Socialist.”

Where is Maryland? Oh come on... that is what my state is known for. I guess that means the libtards will just have to work harder..... sigh.

D.C must be one of the 57 states.

I don't think it's confined to just D.C.

Unfortunately, most folks who self-identify as “moderates” are leftists who are too gutless to tell the pollsters that the are “liberals”: otherwise one can’t account for the ‘Rats winning any state-wide races outside Massachusetts without running DLC-type candidates. In no state other than Massachusetts do self-identified “liberals” outnumber self-identified conservatives. (We’ll ignore DC.)

Let the liberals snicker to themselves as they pay twice as much and get half of what conservatives pay in low cost of living areas.
They can continue to live like rats stacked in cages while I breath in the crisp, clean air of freedom in wide open country living.
Ahhhh!!! the air is clear!!!

If it wasn’t for Atlanta, Georgia would be right up there with the best of them. Also Florida, North of Ocala would fit right in with the most conservative.
Unfortunately, the rest of Florida is liberal as about any place.

Interesting. I would have guessed Utah as #1. Not sure why, but MISS kind of a surprise for me.

In spite of that map/chart I still enjoy living in the Northeast.
