We both know there is no such thing as “enemy lines” anymore, and especially in the current situation.
Had a young man sent home last month with both legs blown off in an IED explosion against a vehicle.
We all know that the huge portion of deaths injuries in the insurgent phase of Iraq were to troops in convoy.
One of the problems with a commander in chief who has never been there is that he doesn’t have a clue. If he’s so sure of this, then let him go to Afghan without his retainers and guards and mount up in a convoy of transporters.
I agree. Unfortunately, with this crop of republican candidates for president, NOT ONE, has worn the uniform of our country, except Ron Paul, and he doesn’t care for the military. I think the military may have paid for his medical education. He served 5 years and that’s the minimun service Drs serve for the military paying for their education. He proudly said “he was called and he went, even though he was married and had 2 kids. My reason for this opinion.
That is exactly my concern. There are no “front lines” - the threat is everywhere. There is no such thing as “those who are being fired at” and “those that are not being shot at.” What foolishness!!!
