– The Newt Gingrich campaign held a meeting with approximately 60 donors Friday in Las Vegas, including casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, a source with knowledge of the session told CNN.
Gingrich, who attended the meeting, had a brief discussion with Adelson at the session, the source said.
The long-time friends are legally barred from speaking about the Adelson family's $11 million contributions to the super PAC supporting Gingrich's White House bid.

The word must have been out that Newt was considering announcing and all his potential allies & financial supporters were immediately targeted. Time frame ‘for the past year’.
I hope Adelson & Newt are prepared for this new character assassination.
Newt would be ahead IF Fla would abide by the rules!

Got a call from the RNC. My husband got on the other phone and we both told them how much we did not appreciate the unethical manner in which the RNC was manipulating the rules (Virginia) and not enforcing the rules (Florida). We also told them that we will be changing our voter registration to “Independent” and will be making all donations directly to candidates only.
If all of us do this, it could make a difference.
We dumped the RNC a long time ago. Only send donations directly to candidates. Started with Sarah Palin.
He is like a modern day Haym Solomon.
I pretty much figure the RNC and most establishment RINO's get their funding directly from corporations, now. They obviously don't need my paltry $$...and they certainly don't work for it.
The false rumors were a ploy, once again, to discourage Newt Gingrich voters to come out and voting.
Sick of their tactics!
I told my local R committee person the same thing. Not one penny until and unless they start acting like a conservative party. It WOULD make a difference if we all did it, but “they” always tell us a 3rd party is not practical, etc. Wonder why?
