Great point....here's my question:

Why is Santo running so many commercials against Newt, if Willard is the "front-runner"?

It's all adding up, and the bottom line points to the rat(s) aka as Willard and his EE friends :(

I haven’t spoken ill of any of our candidates, save Romney-— But, I doubt Rick would have survived the Newt carpet bombing exemplified by this Ron Paul ad— incredible for the distortions. .

Could be Atwater, I suppose. Constant faux leaks are a very undermining tactic, and we have certainly seen them used in other campaigns.

I read that Romney hired Bachmann’s debate coach (the one that told her to look like a rabid hyena and go for personal attacks) and this was what enabled him to engage in such fierce and unexpectedly personal attacks on Gingrich. He had done his dirty work through the Super PAC before that.

It didn’t work very well with Bachmann because people probably respond less positively to women who act like rabid hyenas, whereas they may think it’s sort of macho for men to do that. But in any case, Romney’s clearly trying every technique in the book (other than having good ideas and being a conservative and getting his head out of the planet Kolob or Claude or whoever).

It’s hard for me to imagine Romney dealing competently with issues like the hot Middle East, N. Korea, Somalia. /

Romney, being a mormon bishop would have to call the prophet and ask what he should do. He would not do anything on his own without mormon backup. He would bring mormonism right into the WH. Romney needs to go!

GO NEWT!

Santorum is the ONLY one who can beat Obama.

If Batman has no chance of beating Obama, what makes you think Robin can?

When Newt wins a state again and in fact several, things will change. Winning is winning and it changes everything. So does losing.

“They used the same trick against Fred Thompson.”

They did, but instead of vacillating like Fred, Newt emphatically says that he is going all the way to the convention.

It does make sense. Santorum wouldn’t have 2 dimes to rub together if he wasn’t getting help from Romney and dems.

Unless Sarah is Mitt's VP (unlikely), It would be a McCain campaign minus Palin. And you thought McCain lost big.

Food for thought on Santorum. I have lost all respect for him. He is not polling well, never had huge multi million dollar super pac ads run against him nor been vetted. He smells a Romney victory and is ready to jump on board. Remember that Santorum LOST his own state so his hope of getting back inside the beltway would be on the coat tails of Romney...as he won his seat on the coat tails of Newts republican revolution the first time.

Yes, I agree. Palin was the ONLY reason I voted for McCain and the only person who made the campaign interesting.

That said, if Romney gets the nomination (which is by no means a done deal), I think he’d pick somebody even duller and more out of touch than he is, because I suspect he’s a serious egomaniac and would not like a VP candidate who is more intelligent, more likeable or more anything than he is. Santorum would fill that bill perfectly...

There really isn’t any conservative press now. For some reason, they have all absolutely flooded to Obama-White, making me wonder about their point of view all along.

The only person Santorum could replace is Mr. Rogers.

Sorry but Rat beat him to it.

This has shades of 2008, when Romney floated rumors that Fred Thompson was dropping out. I’m still mad about that one.

No there is no conservative media. Need to get on Twitter and over time the right people find each other. If they can coordinate a revolution in the Middle East using social networks, we can coordinate and become a royal pain in the back end for the GOP, and possibly coordinate a takeover of GOP or formation of a new party.

THIS primary is waking enough people up that we have an opportunity and should go after it. Obviously this is assuming the GOP is successful in getting Mitt nominated.
