Ann Coulter, the columnist who just defended RomneyCare, told Bret Baier that the Tea Party would prove they are hypocrites if they vote for the candidate who “influence peddled” at Freddie Mac:

It’d be one thing if she were saying this as a supporter of Santorum, but Romney? C’mon.
Take apart the lies. Don’t flee them.
What attracts you to liars? Satan is the father of lies.
* Me being attracted to liars is a lie. We should fight lies with truth, even here. Visitors should see that we have truth to counter lies.

People who detest liars don’t take their garbage in lest they end up like the romney supporters.
* People who can’t articulate why others are liars, and simply say “liar!” will never convince the fence sitters. Gingrich won’t put away Romney by calling him a liar alone, he will continue to articulate conservatism and limited government for a free people, and those in the middle, and perhaps more and more on the left will be convinced and will vote for him.

Thank you for explaining that so well. If the worst happens, and that scenario is what we are faced with, I hope that you and many others on FR will promote this option to encourage people to think through the possibilties.
I think any online movement in that direction should direct us all to vote for the Constitution party. That one seems to send the best message. And a big spike in a single party as compared to the last election would send a clear message that a big group of voters shifted this time.
I believe it was based on Newt’s book title, “Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less.”

Good point. I also lean toward just the name "Constitution party" because ... well, it's self explanatory!
Let's hope it doesn't come to that, that people take the time to find out for themselves if what opponents tell them about Newt is true or false, and recognize in time the STARK and SHINING differences between Newt and Romney. Let's hope Romney is soundly rejected, that Newt wins the nomination, and then goes on to win the White House.

LOL! I heard that! I don't truly trust Romney, because, also being a resident of MA, he didn't earn our trust, but he'll be a darn sight better than Obama! And if we work to get more conservatives in the House and Senate, it will bolster the Republican President to support them in any changes they want to make.
