Just got the outdoor Christmas lights taken down yesterday. How’s that for procrastination? Ha!
Oh, too bad! Love Christmas lights all winter. A neighbor across the street still turns their’s on, makes me smile. :o)
Going to get to 40 today. I was considering the backyard for gardening, looked at the maple tree and saw it has been budding. WAY too early for that to happen.
Going in for the first of two shots that’ll check for cancer markers. About time, there’s been a shortage of this chemical, been waiting since October for it. I’d like to think I’m clean but hey, ya never know! Glad to FINALLY get it done!

The team has until today to get out before the weather turns bad. Actually it has already.
They were expected to break into the lake 2 miles under the ice last week and have been out of contact since then.
Earlier this morning I posted a thread with an article claiming the team was OK, but it turns out that was basically speculation.
Super Bowl...meh... I slept.

Mr S got surprised me with an Acer tablet for my birfday. We wathced the commercials and I played Angry Birds the rest of the time. Yes, I’m hooked, though I’m starting to tire of it. I’m glad the Giants won. My Steeler-hating brother-in-law is a Pats fan and he’s in mourning today. Heeheeheee!
Angry Birds is too fun. Could play that for hours.
I find the entire thing weird. I just wonder if they ended up falling through the ice? I haven’t followed the story. Were they digging down themselves - as in, actually going down in the hole, or were they sinking a pipe down?

That’s what I was thinking when I first saw the link, had to finally check it out. The concern appears to be temperatures. Winter is setting in down there and the temps are supposed to drop hard. But why they haven’t been heard from, dunno...

Bishop Zubic released a very strongly-worded letter. My bishop (Brandt) was a bit weaker. I wasn’t in church on the Sunday after the ruling was released. I assume our priest read the bishop’s letter at mass.

Call me crazy but all these talk show folks are indoors so often, when do they get outside for any sun? Quinn has a better chance of it cuz his show is in the morning, but Rush and Levin, not as much. (Although Rush likes his golf so that helps.) Happen to catch Hannity saying he bought Levin exercise equipment but it’s going unused and that bothers him. (I hear that.)

Actually, Levin is still in his early 50’s. I just hope he takes care of himself. And Rush is early 60’s. Quinn, OTOH, is getting up there. I pray for all of them. We need them, especially in these troubling times.

Jack Bogut is off all week too. He is a PGH radio legend. Now if Rush or any others are off I wonder if it has to do with a ratings period. Sometimes they are made to take time off in unrated ratings periods.

I think Quinn did mention that he wants to establish Super Bowl Monday as a holiday (because he believes unions will someday demand it off). But he did have the flu forever it seemed.
Excellent!!! I have seen seed packets in the stores too!!! Sure sign of Spring. I just hope we don’t zip straight to summer (too hot) for crops and farms.

From what I could get from our weather sources the snw should be more of a rain/snow mix and little if any accumulation. Of course where you are there is a greater chane of it pileing up.
Woohoo! I’ve already been seed shopping! I am trying wintergardening. I hope it works! I’ve bought lettuce, collards, sugar peas, snow peas, pole beans, squash, cabbage, Brandywine tomatoes, and brussels sprouts! Can’t wait! Need to get some zucchini and carrots yet!

I’ve been following and started listening to SurvivalMom on FB. Starting an indoor compost bucket for kitchen scraps and been doing reorganizing.
Had hit a funk last week over the primary. Then pulled myself out of it and said, you know, after almost 20 years of seeing socialism steamroll its way through unabated, and the GOP showing its true self, and Barry apparently so ready to hand over our sovereinty to the UN, gotta prepare. Ugly days are ahead.
On Saturday morning, on Fox & Friends, there was a man who was a CIA operative who had been embedded with the Iranian Guard. His face was in shadow and his voice disguised. He warned that the Iranians do have nukes and that their plan is to get as close to our shores as possible and launch an EMP. I am extremely worried that they will succeed. I am starting to put back beans, rice, canned goods, dry goods, paper products and other things. I just wish I could get Mr S on board. My sister and her husband have started stocking up. I am a poor gardener, and I am trying to learn to grow vegetables on the tiny piece of property we have.
