(Tom Brady's wife) Gisele Bundchen blasts Pats WRs

New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker was so upset over dropping a crucial pass late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 21-17 loss to the Giants in Super Bowl XLVI, he nearly started crying at the podium.

Welker isn't going to get any pity from quarterback Tom Brady's wife, Gisele Bundchen, though.

After her prayers for a Patriots' championship went unanswered, Bunchen lashed out at the team's receiving corps for failing to haul in her husband's passes. While waiting for an elevator at Lucas Oil Stadium, Bundchen was being heckled by Giants fans when she spoke to people in her group.

"My husband can not f------ throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times," Bundchen said in a video captured by theinsider.com, a gossip website.

"My husband can not f------ throw the ball

She could have stopped right there. The three big passes...the potential game-changing passes that were dropped by Welker, Hernandez and Branch were not thrown to the optimal spot where a receiver can easily make the catch. All three were thrown behind the receiver.

Heck, if Welker caught his ball, the game is essentially over at that point and he knew it.

IMHO Gisele is the classic embarrassing wife. She didn’t have the common sense, or the class, to realize a crowd of Giants fans harrassing her after the big game was not a group she needed to respond to, and then on top of it she responded by backbiting her husband’s teammates.

Old news, but yeah I recall that now.

Re: “...3 before, 0 since” ...you honestly think they won the 3 prior SBs because of this? Wow.

I guess Brady’s wife did not see Tom’s first offensive play of the game for the Patriots where he caused a two point safety. Also, he threw a bad pass that was intercepted. Many of the best players make mistakes and it seems that they should accept that.

The Patriots missed a couple of opportunities to recover fumbles as well.

New York made fewer mistakes and came out on top.

I saw the video. Much ado about nothing. She was talking to a friend and some kind of powerful mic picked up her comment. You have to work to hear it. She didn’t scream it out across a room. I’m from Boston but still not a giant Pats or Brady fan, but the growing bitterness and envy towards these two is totally uncalled for.

I hope she likes packing and moving because she just FUBAR’d team cohesion.

Hopefully he gets an offer from a team in a (State income tax) Tax Free Republican State.

She just got him traded whether she likes it or not, what a fool she was...

It should also be pointed out that the Gmen pass rush was relentless. It is no wonder Tom had a hard time connecting when it counted. No, I’m not a Giants fan..

What this photo does not show is that Welker was running to his left, and had to twist his body for the pass that was clearly behind him.

Football is a hard game. Three people I try not to criticize:

1) WRs who do their best to make difficult catches, and who succeed with great regularity, but do not succeed 100% of the time.
2) QBs who do their best to make great passes, and who succeed with great regularity, but do not succeed 100% of the time.
3) Disappointed wives who were looking forward to a great day for their husband.

Not to mention throwing a deep ball to a lame TE whose injury let a linebacker jump higher than him and intercept a poorly thrown ball.

Gisele needs to shut up.

Gisele needs to shut up.

Maybe she needs to run back to girly-man Leo DiCaprio.

Bill Belichick should have been banned from the NFL.

Didn't Belichick's "waterboy" get fired
as the Broncos head coach for cheating ?

Something about acorns and trees.

The WRs didn't throw the intentional grounding pass from the end zone.

Without giving those 2 points to the Giants the Pats could have won with a FG.

The best team won!

“My husband can not f——— throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times,”

This country needs to get up out of the sewer it’s been wallowing in.

I have reached the saturation point with hearing and seeing coarse, loudmouth and indecent people.

The conduct of women in public life is truly offensive and has reached an all time low

She’s probably not the one to be saying that. That said, what really killed them wasn’t Welker, it was those other two guys on the last drive. One or both of those guys pull it in, and maybe the Pats win.

As soon as Welker dropped that pass, I thought to myself “They just lost the game”.
