ok, so the next time you get a leak in your roof or need to have some tiled layed I expect you to check each workers immigration status.
If I’m the guy hiring them directly - yes. (Along with getting their W2’s filled out).
If I hire a roofing company to put on the new roof (last year) - no I don’t. That is their responsibility.
I have hired white kids just out of college for part-time help and they have all been good workers. I have worked with Mexicans and they have also been good workers.
In the past at places I worked with manual labor, I was more impressed with the Mexicans than the whites.
