Lexington Green. Dawn. April 19, 1775. Captain John Parker, commander of the Lexington militia, stood among seventy-some men, many of them kin, all of them neither rich nor poor, awaiting the arrival of the British Regulars.

Facing overwhelming odds, Captain Parker turned to his men and said, "The first man who offers to run shall be shot down. Stand your ground! Don't fire until fired upon! But if they want to have a war, let it begin here!"

Later that morning, on the training field just across the Concord River from the town of Concord, members of the colonial militia watched as smoke began to rise from the town. Lieutenant Joseph Hosmer turned to Colonel James Barrett, overall commander of the Concord militia, and said, "Will you let them burn the town down?" Upon hearing this, Captain Isaac Davis drew his sword and replied, "I haven't a man who is afraid to go."

The college students of this nation need to go on strike. They should strike to have their tuition reduced by 75%. They are being shackled by the university professors to enormous debt for most of their lives. American college students are the new sharecroppers in this country. If they’re so unhappy, and have so much energy, strike the universities. You want to see change? Have no students show up at the universities next fall. Until the college students do this, they’re nothing but a bunch of of whining, crying babies enslaved by their own ignorance.

“I am afraid if we do have a revolution, it will be the french type.................... “

Agreed. As my Dad once said, “Revolutions rarely turn out well”. Ours was the exception.

Prediction Time: Mittens will get the Nod and rally the GOP.
A 3rd Party will start (maybe even a 4th) Obama will flood the airwaves with ads. Close election—lots of fraud—and a narrow Obama Re-election. It will be “Happy Days are here again.” BUT The second term will quickly become a nightmare. I predict that Obama will not make it to the end on 2016. Scandals, corruption, and vice will fill the headlines—More crackdown will focus on the media—higher taxes and foreign wars in Africa and elsewhere.Obama will be a bitter memory by 2015.

Unfortunately self-serving, easily corruptible politicians may have narrowed the choices back down to two: submit or resist.

that will the dying truth...

As my Dad once said, “Revolutions rarely turn out well”. Ours was the exception.

Ours was not a revolution as much as it was an act of secession. IMO. Within the States (former colonies), the post-war structures of government were evolved from, and closely resembled both in form and in ideology the pre-war structures of government. Contrast this with the French Revolution, which completely destroyed the previous government and replaced it with a government utterly unlike it.
