Clint Eastwood says his recent Super Bowl commercial wasnt about politics. Chrysler Group LLC aired a two-minute television commercial called Its Halftime in America during Super Bowl XLVI that featured the veteran actor and director. Some pundits have argued that the tone seemed to favor the re-election of President Obama.

Ya know, maybe I’m alone in the world but I just don’t see what others see. I thought it was just a Chrysler Ad.

I know you are kind of new here, but you need to sharpen up if you REALLY thought that was just a Chrysler ad.

I didn't watch the game. I saw the clip only after it was placed here on FR. Goes without say that I have enjoyed plenty of Eastwood's movies. Obama, that's another matter.

Dr. Lightman says you’re not being entirely truthful, Clint. Even through the plastic surgery, he can tell.

Ya know, maybe Im alone in the world but I just dont see what others see. I thought it was just a Chrysler Ad. Really. With no Chrysler logo? No mention of Chrysler, or Dodge or Jeep? Give me a break. It was propoganda for obama, pure and simple.

I make it a practice to believe everything that any Hollywood big-shot says. They always tell the truth.
But, at the same time, when Newt Gingrich mentions Saul Alinsky's name, he's doing so in order to fan the flames of antisemitism. I know that's true too, because a prominent Democrat psychologist said it was.
I always believe everything Democrats and psychologists say. They're just as trustworthy as Hollywood moguls. When you think about it.

I think the term is "useful idiot ". We all know actors will do anything for money, attention, etc. Clint is off the conservative list.

Absolutely was a political ad, probably written by the Obama people.

You can bet Clint was reimbursed for his ‘time and effort’.
He made a whore of himself.
Makes me wonder: Now that wealth has been vilified, only whores have wealth!

Clint might not think so but Obama sympathizers wrote it and the pro-Obama sntiment comes through loud and clear.
"Still, the advertising agency that created the commercial Wieden + Kennedy has members who have designed Obama campaign items or who have worked on behalf of Democratic causes. The creative minds behind the ad are in the agencys Portland, Ore., branch. Aaron Allen designed a poster for the 2008 Obama campaign and Jimm Lasser designed a basketball sneaker called the Obama Force One, with an image of the president on the soles and the message A Black Man Runs and a Nation Is Behind Him. Lasser displayed the shoe in a 2008 gallery exhibition with the tagline The Dunk on McCain.
Elsewhere at Wieden + Kennedy, which has Kraft and Coca-Cola on its client list, global public relations director Joani Wardwell worked in the press office of the Clinton White House. She started as a grassroots organizer for Democratic causes in the early 1990s and continues to do political consulting."

Clint’s probably embarassed now that he realizes he got scammed by obama’s organization, but at the time he was just thinking about the money. Money provided by the taxpayers.

I thought it was just a Chrysler Ad.I thought so too, until he started talking about "a second chance in the second half", or somesuch.
I see everything through political glasses, so I though that it was an Obama endorsement.
Mr Eastwood says otherwise. However, he might have gotten played.

Rush just played a brilliant satire of the ad, in which Eastwood urges voters to “kick Obama’s skinny ass back to Chicago.”

I posted a link Sunday morning with Super Bowl ads and asked if the Toyota ad was sending a certain (homosexual) message. The first two scenes in that ad appeared to be headed in that direction.
