Minneapolis, Minn. — Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak and labor groups say they have agreements with the Vikings that they hope will increase city support for a new stadium on the current Metrodome site.

The agreements call for union labor to be used on any stadium, with unions committing to no work stoppages.

Although I am a diehard Vikings Fan, get ready for $200 tickets for an average team.

Why bother raising ticket prices when you can raise income taxes, property taxes, sales taxes, hotel taxes, restaurant taxes, dog license taxes, parking taxes, exceeding the speed limit taxes and tack taxes to pay for stadiums so millionaire players can entertain billionaire team owners?

Here in Indianapolis, I’ll be paying for the new stadium and the Superbowl that went with it, for the rest of my days on earth.

And when -- not if, but WHEN -- the feather-bedders and thugs strike, then what? Are you going to wave the contract in their faces and tell them to get back to work? Or are you just going to sneak away and let them extort a few more billion from taxpayers, in the name of "fair labor practices?"

Any agreement with a union is worth about as much as an IOU from Beau Brummel.
