The Catholic Church's position on ObamaCare has essentially been "screw them, as long as we get off and get the cash". What I mean, is that the Bishops and Catholic Church were willing to make a deal with Obama, that they would be exempt from regulations everyone else would be subject to. The Church's organizations would still get the government cash to run it's welfare programs.

You'd think the Catholic Church would be at the head of list of those who know that when you make a deal with the devil, you ain't gonna come out ahead.

To the American Bishops, 'welcome to the battle, better late than never'. I hope you learn something from this.

This does not affect only programs that accept government funding, and in fact a lot of Church charitable activities are purely privately funded.

This affects the Church simply as an employer, the way it will affect all employers eventually. You might want to review the facts. It has nothing to do with government funding.
