Yeppppp..... ‘fraid you’re right, no doubt about it.

But I do believe this took place in Philadelphia or some other northern city where PC reigns supreme and self defense is prosecuted as a crime.

But down here in lil’ ol’ South Carolina the Panthers would have been either arrested or confronted with citizen deadly force. We’re a gunfriendly castle doctrine state here, and if one of those Panthers had growled “I ain’t afraid of your M-F-in’ gun!” and charged, his mama would soon be screaming

Further to what you have just said, I’ve just reminded myself of an incident were some ropers almost got themselves lynched by righteously angry mob for hurling abuse at a parade for returning soldiers:

The muzzombies who were dissing British soldiers were led by one Anjem Choudary who proudly calls himself “the most hated man in Britain”.

Again, Britain is a largely disarmed society, no handguns except for criminals. Long guns (no autoloaders) must be secured and the police armed with indefinite “pocket warrants” can drop in anytime. Self defense is no excuse for owning or using a gun in U.K.

There’s a mosque across the street here but our local ropers keep to themselves as all of S.C. is swarming with heavily armed biblethumping rednecks. Or so we want them to believe.
