Victoria's Secret model Kylie Bisutti quits over religious beliefs

Being a Victoria's Secret model can offer fame and fortune beyond a woman's wildest dreams. But this wasn't enough for Kylie Bisutti, who decided to stop modeling for the lingerie maker because it didn't match with her religious beliefs.

Bisutti tells "Good Morning America" she turned down the work because, "I just became so convicted of honoring the Lord and my body and wanting to be a role model for other women out there who look up to me."

The 21-year-old won the gig after beating out 10,000 others in a Victoria's Secret Model search in 2009.

Bisutti adds that a conversation with her 8-year-old cousin helped motivate her to make this decision.

I wonder if religious beliefs can cause one to stop putting blog excerpts under “News.” :-)

Uh, sorry, no dice...the reason she is quitting is because she feels her body is for the HUSBAND's eyes only. Too bad, though, really.

I am sure there are plenty of great girls out there for Tebow. -—Although Bisutti continues her career in the entertainment business,[3] she did not work with Victoria’s Secret after the show. She later said lingerie modeling conflicted with her Christian values: “My body should only be for my husband and it’s just a sacred thing.”

Girls like that are really hard to find in this fallen country any more...good for her.

Hint to J. C. Penney's...here's a lady that would be a good representative for your company.

There are lots of girls....we don’t think of beauty pageant contestants as typical freepers but they often express some very conservative views.

Yes, the deep experienced wisdom of 8 year olds is often underrated and frequently confused with "ignorance" and "naivety"

Not sure I get your point. What if the conversation was along the lines of, "Isn't it wrong to take off your clothes in public?" In cases like that, I'd take the wisdom of an 8-year-old over the "experience" of many adults any day. The very young can have a straightforwardness and eye for truth on moral issues. They are, as Dickens put it, "fresh from God."

Or, maybe what happened is an 8-year-old cousin (on a different tear!) had said to her, "When I grow up, I want to take off my clothes for money, just like you." That would be an "Uh-oh!" moment for a Christian model, wouldn't it? In either case, I wouldn't discount the source for being 8. Their lack of worldly pretension actually gives them more credibility than adults on certain issues.

Well, I thought it was pretty plain, and if you didn't get it, then I really don't think any further explanation on my part will help. Think about it for a bit, and I'll give you this hint. When was the last time you asked an 8 year old for advice?

I don't understand. It's not like she was doing nude modeling and people wear less on public beaches.

Is she also for wearing burrkas on the beach?

problem is she has left that behind her. Religious faith is like any growth. She made her decision and those who are stuck in the past lusts of the flesh neither respect her new birth—nor her faith because of their own lack of faith.Just so we know who we are talking about here.

I think the point that SamuraiScot is trying to make is that sometimes, you indeed can get advice, from 8 year olds...maybe not advice but their comments can make you think...

Case in point my son is 8, one day while driving along with him, some old guy did something or the other wrong and I honked at him and went on... my son commented he was just a poor old man why did you honk at him...which gave me pause to reflect on what I had done... and he was correct... he was just an old guy and I could have been more forgiving.

So don’t discount the wisdom of 8 year olds in some cases.
