The Left is gleeful about this hype.

Will the dense ‘Conservative’ electorate prevail?

Its time for Newt to drop. Santorum has the momentum and Newt has too much baggage. Fair or not he can not win now. All he does is split the Conservative vote - time to take your own advice Newt.

It will be interesting to see how Newt's Out of the Ballpark CPAC speech affects Santorum's place in the polls over the next week. I hope EVERYONE will watch both Santorum's and Gingrich's CPAC speeches and compare them, on both substance and visceral appeal.

Godspeed Newt Gingrich!

Add this to his national polling numbers and to his polling numbers against Obama. I heard he got a great reception in Oklahoma earlier this week too. I hope we get a poll from there soon...

I believe Newt is done. He made too much of an ass of himself.

I expect him to take as many as he can down with him.

The only reason that Romney’s still running is to hand the nomination to Paul. It’s time Romney drops out.

Would like to see RS drop out. He doesn’t offer enough change in the direction of the nation.

This Tennessean is voting for Gingrich. Day one in the Oval Office is just what this nation needs.

Huckabee won here in TN in 2008

McClain was 2nd

Romney was 3rd

I could see Santorum winning here this time...

or Newt...

27% named [conservative] Mitt Romney...

The conservative, Mitt Romeny, is basically playing a game of conservative whack-a-mole. If he (the conservative) whacks at Newt in the lead, it will knock Newt's numbers down below conservative Myth's... while causing Santorums to rise above Myth's (who is the conservative in this race). Then, he takes a whack at Santorum, dropping him in the polls, that makes Newt rise again. All the while, the conservative, Romeny, remains steady... 27% (conservatively-speaking).

The TN Republican Primary is March 6. There are only 6 uncommitted delegates and zero delegates committed to Santorum. See page 2 of our sample ballot: http://www.knoxcounty.org/election/2012elections/pdfs/sample_ballot.pdf

Now if only Santorum can hire a decent speech coach (his writing is top notch, it is the delivery that sucks) he would be a force to reckon with.

I was expecting Newt would be the front runner, and supported him as the realistic figure to defeat Mitt, but as Santorum continues to win several states, I believe it is time to switch over, and unite our support for Santorum. Newt may still be selected as Vice President, and I support that too, since his experience in the congress for pulling strings is valuable.
