I usually don't react to reports of star deaths (sad to say) but this time, I'm pretty sad about it. She was so beautiful and God gifted her with enormous talent. Her mother Cissy raised her a good Christian and did everything she could to shield her from the evils she knew existed in the entertainment business. Then came Bobby Brown and everything Cissy worried about came to fruition.

May Whitney rest in peace and may her daughter not follow in the path of her parents.

Normally I wouldn’t even give a second thought to a Hollywood figure dieing, but this was a big shock to me when I first heard about it.

Whitney Houston, while a great talent and a beauty in her youth, was a PR creation. While she sang like an angel her speaking voice and vernacular told a larger tale of who she was. Water chooses it's own level. Bobby Brown's glass was likely filled to the same level as Whitney's was filled.

Either way, tragic. RIP.
