Did you take the time to read that article? It was riddled with errors. For example, it claims Santorum was elected in '96 or '98, when he was elected in '94. If they can't even get that right. Also, Bill Clinton WAS impeached. If he was impeached, how could Santorum have killed it? Whoever wrote this is incompetent, and doesn't know what he's talking about.
More importantly, the timeline is off from what you claim. Once Ginrich's affair was out, the public was never going to tolerate Clinton being removed from office. So in December of '98 and January 1999, the damage was done. You can't blame Santorum for the situation Gingrich put all of them in. He was the traitor.
