Really? I distinctly heard him giving a powerful statement on this in a speech. And I don’t suppose a Mormon, who knows full well the results of religious persecution, would hesitate to speak out about this.
Missouri only rescinded the order to drive out Mormons or if necessarily kill them (done by their governor in the 1800’s) in 1976. I think perhaps people are not understanding things properly, and of course the media is not about ppushing Santorum for good purposes.
