Who is this "we" that you speak of?
What was all that, no taxation without representation fuss about again?
Great idea, Gene.
I propose the minimum tax be the percentage General Electric paid last year. Zero.
Go to hell, Sperling.
Government is the religion of the fascists.
They have nine months to cram their ugly liberal programs through. We are going to get shyt like this every day from here on out.
Gene Sperling
Baraq has a different new Econ guy/gal every 9 months or so. I’ve kind of stopped counting. That office has quick change door signs.
“Lets talk about Global Minimum Work.”
Democrats call that ‘Arbeit Macht Frei’. watch ‘Animal farm’, if you don’t get it.
“Come on guys.”
Who is “We”?
Rand was a prophet.
And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.
Not much has changed in the past 2000 years except the names of the dictators.
How fair is it that 47% of the people pay no income tax at all? Will there be a “Buffet Rule” for them?
The US is one of the few countries in the world that taxes its citizens based on worldwide income - regardless of whether they are living here or abroad. US citizenship has become the most expensive “passport” you can own.
For this reason, each year brings a higher number of Americans who willingly relinquish their citizenship. Last year, it was the highest on record. The world’s poor and huddled masses want to become Americans. More Americans with capital understand that they have become cows to be milked, sued, abused and fleeced.
The current administration is comprised of liberal/socialist/marxist fools, who have no economic experience in the real world and their solution to everything is to raise taxes and entrap average Americans in government dependency.
The longer this goes on, the greater the likelihood that we will not recover. I fear the world’s economic development and flow of funds is already moving around us and Asia is on the ascendancy, as we sink into European socialism.
If I were starting a business today, it would be somewhere else, where there is opportunity and where they welcome capital with open arms. Singapore comes to mind.
Do not miss that they are hollowing out the value of our money, making business too expensive to risk operating here, and taxation too high to make that risk worthwhile. It is both parties. It is sad to watch.
That's not the verb I'd choose.
