Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer Robbed by Machete-Wielding Intruder in Caribbean
ABC News ^ | 2-13-12

Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer was robbed at knife point in his vacation home on the Caribbean island of Nevis Feb. 9, according to a court spokeswoman, although he’s not the first Supreme Court justice become a victim of crime. In 2004, Justice David Souter was mugged while jogging, and in 1966, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had her purse snatched.

Breyer was with his wife, Joanna Breyer, and guests when an intruder armed with a machete broke into their home. The intruder took $1,000 but no one was hurt.

Using machetes like this during a robbery may be allowed under Scottish law. I hope someone checks this. I would like to know.

Check with Arlen Specter, he knows all about Scottish Common Law. IMHO, Arlen’s pretty common, too! /S

And the justices get US Marshall’s protection when they’re outside the country!

If that's the case, where was the Marshall when this occurred?

This came so close to being a major news story, and yet why is it ignored?

A tragic vacancy on the court would have caused a huge battle between Obama and the GOP leadership in the Senate. ..... No it wouldn't have! Who am I kidding?

People are under the perception that the Second Amendment is all about guns, it isn't.

It states the right to keep and bear Arms. A Louisville Slugger can be a tool to hit home runs or a tool to hit craniums.

A Machete is a tool used to cut down foliage or a tool to rob a Libtard Pussy like Breyer.

I'm sure Breyer didn't turn into a Conservative when this happened. I'm sure he will expand his opinion of what “arms” he will try to take away from the American People.

“Buy a minimum of $250K worth of property and you can get a passport and shelter assets there. “

partly true.

No one from America can shelter assets. All worldwide income of a US citizen is subject to US taxation - to hide it is an offense that can lead to imprisonment. Citizenship in SKN doesn’t allow any American to shelter assets. It would provide citizenship in a country, allowing you to relinquish your US citizenship. THEN, you would no longer be subject to our confiscatory tax code.

You can invest in a piece of qualifying real estate worth at least $450k, pay the additional gov’t fees and attorney’s fees and if they accept you, you will become a citizen.

Great deal, but not cheap.

We need to register all machete purchases. There must be a five-day cooling-off period for all machete purchases. Sharpening tools for machetes must be heavily taxed.

MACHETE CONTROL NOW!!!
