This doesn’t inspire a positive view of the judicial system...at least of this judge.

All that blather from Sotomayor and she doesn't once mention The Law.

I find it horrific that this person sits on the Supreme Court and cannot find the word Constitution anywhere in her rambling response.

The only reason the wise latina is on the bench is because she's a latina. Same for Kagan, who represents the lesbo lobby. If there were a single Pubbie Senator with b*lls, neither would be there.

I'm just not seeing the 'satire' in this.
Respectfully, I'm going to have to disagree with the comments that his, Mr. Adams, columns are satire.

Don’t be so sure about that. You are forgetting that the rats have the majority

If we lost one or more of the Four horsemen: Thomas, Scalia, Alito or Roberts...
We are all done here...
Considering the political cowards we have representing us now, I do not see any Republican blocking any jusdial appointment from anither 4 years of Obama...Which to me this is the biggest threat out there...

What should American culture and society look to as the source for just laws? The answer is our Republican form of government under the Constitution. But she, as a "Wise Latino Woman" can't say that.

The answer is simple. And she knew it. But was afraid to say it:
The Ten Commandments.
But you know, I have some hope for Sotomajor. I think she may turn out to be the equivalent of Justice Souter; renowned to be a strong Conservative, but turned out a flaming liberal.
Sotomajor may become the reverse of this.
To: Kaslin
Thank you Lindsay Graham and John McCain.

It would be my preference to have an American on the bench who knows the history behind our rule of law, understands how it came to be, and believes in it without reservation, but in this “new age” that appears to be the impossible.

She’s been regarded as quite a liberal activist for a long time, and her initial confirmation to Circuit Court judge was held up by the GOPers in the Senate for quite some time after Bill Clinton nominated her.
Santorum was one of the few GOPers who finally joined the Dems in voting to confirm her to Circuit Court in 1999.

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t the founding Fathers look to the Ten Commandments as the source for just laws?
Justice Sotomayor looks to the dignity of the individual - with the exception of the unborn of course.
To: hal ogen
What Soto and the entire post-modern culture constantly prove is that when there is no objective basis for values and culture, then the ultimately the ends will always justify the means.
