We would have had NONE of these problems if Truman had nuked Stalin back in '46 when he had the chance.
And how many nukes did we have in 1946? Did we even have one? That was a very deep, dark secret.

That's a very good question! I remember reading that we used up all our fissile material for the test bomb and the two we dropped on Japan, and it was a big secret that we didn't have another bomb in 1945 despite threatening the Japanese with further bombings. As for 1946?

Just nuke all that stuff and take us back to an America of full employment, no trade deficits and humming factories. Go back 25-30 years and nuke all these masturbatory electronic devices as a trade. I would go for it in a split second

You should go for Castor Oil instead as you are full of it.. You have an unhealthy abhorrence of anything Apple.

Much of the world's supply of many things comes from China. The problem is here, not there. Were we to modernize our tax code and government regulations while defanging unions the manufacturing would return on its own.

Despite what the Occupy groups say, most entrepreneurs aren't stupid and greedy. What/where did your group occupy?

Not  a problem throw all the PCs and laptops in the ocean this would not bother me. Life in America was much better before we had them. Ronald Reagan 1980-1988..... Few people has PCs back then. No internet. No effin cell phones to chat away all day on. No DVDs and we got along just fine...much better than today.

We had several, as the scientists behind Hiroshima and Nagasaki were chomping at the bit.

I seem to recall reading we were able to crank out about 1 per month at that point.

Recall how soon it was until the Ivy Mike "proof of concept" H-bomb test: 1952.

Cheers!

I wouldn’t pay a red cent for ‘iPad’. I’d come up with a name slightly less evocative than ‘an electronic version of a women’s hygiene product’ and say ‘Rots of Ruck!’.

Women chat/text the most on those stupid cell phones so I’ll be cleaning up nothing you know who the guilty parties are. The men invent them then the ladies use them...extremely and for the most inane chit-chat. And for the younger ones it’s all about nasty gossip sex and hookups you know I’m telling the truth so don’t waste time objecting

Your illustrations are perfect. They are works of Salvador Dali, a Spanish Communist.

I don’t understand your comment. Apple chose a single source so by definition, there is only one manufacturer.

My comment was based on your assertion that the iPad is made of parts that can be assembled by anybody... it is NOT. Apple subsidized the machines that make it... and the machines that make the iPhone as well. There are very specific processes that go into making the iPhone that other makers DO NOT USE... Apple fronted the money to make those machines that are installed at the factories that make those products. Other assemblers do not have the ability to do the job, because the investment in the proper machinery has not been made. Had you been following the development of these products you would know this. There also is not just one country of manufacture. There are at least two. iPads and iPhones are manufactured both in China and Brazil. There are also at least THREE contract manufacturers of iPads and iPhones, not one, all with equipment subsidized by Apple.

Apple used to have factories in America. Steve Jobs decided they would make more money outsourcing everything to the Red Chinese. Now the ChiComs are holding their most profitable product hostage. Bet Apple wishes they made them in California now!

Not exactly... the Chinese Courts in Hong Kong, where the sale took place, have ruled that Apple owns the Trademark... and issued an injunction, with the judge saying he sees a conspiracy to extort money from Apple.

FreeRepublic Article on Chinese Court siding with Apple against Proview in Trademark dispute.

The judge's decision is an interesting read as he lays out the evidence and his reasons for his decision.

So much for your theory.
