“This is big,” wrote White House director of new media Macon Phillips in a February 23, 2009 blog post, ”the President today promised that by the end of his first term, he will cut in half the massive federal deficit we’ve inherited. And we’ll do it in a new way: honestly and candidly.”
Indeed, President Obama did make that promise that day, saying, “today I’m pledging to cut the deficit we inherited in half by the end of my first term in office. This will not be easy. It will require us to make difficult decisions and face challenges we’ve long neglected. But I refuse to leave our children with a debt that they cannot repay — and that means taking responsibility right now, in this administration, for getting our spending under control.”
The 2013 budget the president submitted today does not come close to meeting this promise of being reduced to $650 billion for fiscal year 2013.

Obama is paying 1.5 billion dollars of tax money per day for interest on the deficit he help create. He wants us to ignore his spending or listen to him blame it on someone else? The media doesn’t care about our debt. They just want their big spender and thief re-elected.

Remember. That budget also had the ONE TIME $400 billion expenditure (TARP) included. So it was really $700 billion, not 1.1 trillion.
Like buying a car one year for 40 grand. And then using that $40,000 every year when doing your household budget.

This putz ran for President Claiming that George Bush Ran the Country into a Ditch.He proclaimed at a Town hall Meeting that what Bush was Doing was Irresponsible,putting our Grand Children in Debt to China by increasing our debt,this has to be stopped. So what did HE do? He has out spent and increased the debt more in 3 years than Bush did in 8 years! Then he has the Balls to stand up in front of the American People and say it was worse than he thought and not ONE question on When Mr. President did you realize it was worse than you thought? Before or after you have added another 5 TRIILION DOLLARS of debt? So Mr. President did George Bush drive us into a Ditch by spending too much money or not enough? Please explain so we can figure out what it is you are trying to do,Fix the economy by Bankrupting the Country,or save it by Bankrupting the Country,and oh yeah what was it again that Bush did,drive us into a Ditch?
