I can tell you whom the 3rd choice would've been, and that was my ex-Governor Phil Bredesen, the former health care company CEO. It would've had an interesting impact in TN, as Conservative GOP Lt Gov Ron Ramsey would've been elevated to Governor and we'd not have ended up with the current RINO Bill "Two Face" Haslam.

Good point, actual DINOs are an endangered species these days. Hell, Joe Lieberman even had a 95% liberal rating and he was labeled a "conservative Democrat" (plus the "social issues don't matter" people eagerly gobbled up that kool-aid and championed his re-election)
