Went to the LA Times blog to see if there's anything new...FBI is taking over the investigation, the injured supervisor is said to be in stable condition. No names.
Getting late where I am and I'm going to shut my eyes; I'm sure in the AM they'll issue a more coherent statement and tell us what it was all about and who the parties involved were. Good night, all. ~A.~

Some really good trauma surgeons operated on the agent for several hours this evening at St. Mary Medical Center in downtown Long Beach.
Multiple gunshot wounds. He’s in stable condition tonight, “resting comfortably”. He would have been killed if the other agent hadn’t acted so quickly.

Prayers up to those innocently involved. ICE agents try, but are subject to DHS policies, and we all know what those policies are.
I suspect either a random disgruntled individual or an illegal immigration supporter/activist gone wild. Keep close watch on this one...it could be the beginning of something ugly. Doubt it, but nowadays...I'm not surprised by anything.

Abner Louima was injured with a broom handle (originally thought to be a plunger...)
but he did not die...
...and now he is rich.

Because of this shooting, they'll inact restrictive policies that all law enforcement officers entering any federal building to check their firearms at the door ...... wait and see.

That thought crossed my mind too. Most likely they are looking for some connection between the shooter and homegrown terrorists now.

NY's Abner Louima was injured with a broom handle...but he did not die......and now he is rich. Yeah, but his lawyer tipped him off to a smart investment....so he invested it all w/ Madoff (/sarc).

I just checked google news, and still no names. It's been more than 12 hours, which should be more than enough time to notify families.
I'm going to guess that there's a reason for not wanting the public to know the shooter's name before the Friday night news dump.

Do you mean to suggest that the media might be concealing the possibility that A-Certain-Ethnic-Group-Which-Shall-Not-Be-Named could be involved? Or that some Exalted Proclamation from the regime could have been the cause of such unpleasantness?
Oh, the hugh manatee.

These people need to have their guns taken away. Its the guns fault this happened. Give them brooms instead. When was the last time you heard of someone dying from broom inflicted wounds. (/sarc)
ICE have less than brooms. How long did ramos and compean spend in jail for shooting an illegal alien running drugs across the border? Who used the USA to sue the agency?

Shows you how bad he was shot up if they took him to St Mary’s, the closest hospital but not the best trauma center. Glad he’s gonna make it.
