A confrontation between law enforcement agents erupted in gunfire Thursday evening at the federal building in Long Beach, leaving two dead and one seriously injured, authorities said.

The shooter is believed to have opened fire on his supervisor over an unspecified dispute, law enforcement authorities told The Times.
Perhaps he was ordered to do something tyrannical or unconstitutional? That might set someone off.
Just wild. Wonder if we will ever know the truth on this one?
I used to be a Customs Inspector at the Los Angeles/Long Beach Seaport. I wonder if anyone that I knew was involved.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement released the following statement Thursday night:
“At approximately 5:30 (Pacific) this afternoon, two agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) were shot inside the agency’s offices at the federal building in Long Beach. One of the agents died at the scene. The second agent was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition. The names of the agents are not being released pending notification of the next of kin. The shooting is being investigated by HSI’s Office of Professional Responsibility, the Long Beach Police Department and the FBI.”

Oh, crap! I know about 12 ICE and BP and Customs agents working out of that office. Long Beach is a big DHS hub.
The agent opened fire repeatedly on the supervisor on the seventh floor of the building,

The agent shot his boss. A third came in and shot the shooter dead. The supervisor is alive in the hospital.
If States liberalize their CCW laws, there will be murder and mayhem in the streets! It will be like the wild west! </sarc>

The headline clearly says “2 dead, 1 wounded”..?
These people need to have their guns taken away. It’s the gun’s fault this happened. Give them brooms instead. When was the last time you heard of someone dying from broom inflicted wounds. (/sarc)
It’s been changed at the source to read, “ICE agent shootout leaves 1 dead, 1 wounded in Long Beach [Updated]”.
Early reports were extremely confused.
