The people of Chicago LOVE Unions. They LOVE Democrats. They vote for them in devout fashion. The people of Chicago are true believers. Now it’s time that they demonstrate their worship of all things liberal and pay these high priests from the teacher’s union.

Please watch "Waiting for Superman"!! The moral to this film is that unions are the stumbling block to improving schools in the US. Chicago school teachers want more money yet their students test scores and % of students who graduate HS are still quite bad for a major urban area. In the real world, none of us would get raises for such bad professional performance.

Ok, we will give you that 30% raise but under conditions. You now have to work summers. No spring break vacation nor a long Christmas holiday.

No more getting out at 3:00 either. It's 5;00 from now on.

Oh and a independent, private committee will be formed to see how the kids are doing. If so many are failing you will be fired.
