McSally’s comment was to a specific comment from Santorum. There was a context to it.

Yes, it makes you a hero so far as I’m concerned. You’d still be a hero even if you went to Harvard. My “grow up” was directed at the idea no Harvard graduate can be a conservative, or that no conservative can be impressed by a Harvard degree.
