The breakfasts look like a waste to begin with.

Knowing kids a lot of what’s on the menu will end up in the trash uneaten or tasted.

What's wrong with this school menu?

A side bar. My grandmother was a cook at Elida schools many years ago. On her first day she made beautiful peach cobbler with salt instead of sugar. Someone had mislabeled the bin.

People in Eastern New Mexico know how to eat.

Thanks for the article.

I was born in Portales and love to hear news from HOME.

Lunch looks ok. But you’re right, breakfast looks like sugar and fiberless carbohydrates, for the most part. The kids need some protein and fiber at breakfast.

Off topic, I don’t understand why the food police declared pizza a vegetable.

According to my (ancient) recollections of ancient archaeology, we all may have some relatives born there! The Clovis Culture pre-dates the mysterious Ho-Ho-Kums and may actually have been the original inhabitants of the New World.
